Large-power projects work best with generator sets engineered around their exact needs: an island power plant needs redundancy and black-start capability, a stadium needs grid-parallel switching, and an oilfield in 50°C heat needs a dedicated cooling package. MPMC treats the container as a flexible platform and has adapted it for projects across mining, oil and gas, data centres, events and island power.

      MPMC’s Large-Power Containerised Platform

Configurations From 800 kVA to 3,750 kVA

MPMC’s containerised range covers single-engine units from 800 kVA to 3,750 kVA, powered by Cummins, Perkins, Baudouin, MTU, Scania, SME, Volvo or SDEC; twin-engine containers from 1,250 kVA to 3,000 kVA powered by Baudouin, Scania or Perkins; and a four-engine 1,600 kVA configuration powered by Scania, all with Stamford or Leroy-Somer alternators. The same platform runs on diesel, natural gas, methanol or biofuel (B35 and above), and containers are rated to ISO 12944 C4/C5 for coastal and tropical environments.

MPMC containerised high-voltage diesel generator sets with Perkins engines, built for a 6 MW oil and gas project.

Cummins-Documented Models at 50 Hz and 60 Hz

The table below shows how output, frequency and voltage options combine across MPMC’s Cummins-documented containerised models. The MCLS2000H(S)-1 delivers 2,000 kVA prime at 11,000 V and 50 Hz, enabling direct high-voltage distribution with lower transmission losses over long cable runs.

Across these models MPMC documents steady-state frequency stability of ±0.25% or better at any constant load and rated voltage regulation of ±1%. Standard fuel is ASTM D975 Grade 2D diesel, with HVO (EN 15940) and B20 biofuel blends supported on Cummins models, and engines from other leading brands are available on request.

      Customisation Proven on Delivered Projects

MPMC’s customisation goes well beyond enclosure colour. Each example below comes from a delivered project, from a split-type alternator built for a 60 Hz stadium to an explosion-proof dual-start system for an oilfield, showing the engineering depth MPMC brings to every specification.

      Engineering for Every Site Condition

      Climate, Altitude and Coastal Protection

MPMC engineers each package around the site. For extreme environments such as Middle East sites above 50°C or high-altitude mines, MPMC provides customised solutions including copper radiators, upgraded cooling systems and altitude derating calculations, so the quoted output matches real site performance. Units for continuous duty are designed to ISO 8528 for continuous operation, with cooling optimised for ambient temperatures of 50°C and above.

Designed, Built and Tested Under One Roof

MPMC’s Haimen base specialises in high-end customised generator sets and continuous-operation power stations, and its CNAS-accredited test rooms simulate up to 50°C ambient while every unit is load-tested up to 110%. With full containerisation, multi-fuel capability and integrated HBD battery storage on the same SCADA/EMS platform, MPMC can grow a project from a single genset into a complete hybrid power plant. Its self-developed SCADA supports real-time remote monitoring, ten years of data storage and Starlink satellite backup communication, giving remote sites full visibility of their plant.
